Our Gold Level Assessment is a whole-home retrofit process. It's designed to first measure your home's initial energy performance and diagnose problems using our expert industry certified testing. Then solve the identified problems with Stream's contracting services. You're always free to choose your contractors, and by using Stream Residential Performance Contracting LLC as your contractor, you get the assessment cost refunded and our 12 Month Energy Bill Guarantee! We provide a ONE-STOP-SHOP service with one streamlined process! As your Certified Rater/Auditor and Qualified Contractor, our streamlined approach provides these great benefits and home energy improvements with ease. We also perform much of the actual contracting work with in-house employees of Stream Residential for superior quality control and seamless inter-action so nothing slips through the cracks. The Gold Level Assessment complies with both Home Performance With EnergyStar® and BPI® programs. See our streamlined process steps below.

  1. Initial Inspection - We'll schedule the appointment and first review your concerns or areas of interest and qualify your home as a good candidate for this process.


  2. Testing & Inspections - We'll conduct a broad set of tests and inspections for energy efficiency, air quality, heating/cooling system performance, building "shell" performance, moisture, airflows, etc. to diagnose any performance problem root causes. We also perform a nationally recognized HERS Energy Rating. Tests include:
    • Blower door
    • Combustion safety
    • Carbon monoxide
    • Zonal pressure diagnostics
    • HERS Energy Rating
    • Air duct airflow
    • Wood moisture content
    • Humidity
    • Particulate matter air quality
    • Visual inspections of living, crawl, attic and basement spaces.
    • Visual inspection of heating & A/C systems

  3. Retrofit Road Map - We'll recap everything with you before we leave and then provide you with reports, a Road Map recommendation, and quotations for the home energy improvement contracting work, all tailored to you and your home.
